Charged me a diagnostic fee despite not being able to pinpoint the source of my problem. Let them repair something else that a previous mechanic had already told me needed to be repaired (which I had told Honest-1, so I don’t feel they are entitled for payment for diagnosing that problem when I’m the one who told them it needs to be replaced). They also did not do an alignment after replacing a hub assembly on my car. Drove off the lot with my car still making noise. Took my car to the previous mechanic (Firestone) who made the noise go away for free. Now I’m feeling like Honest-1 jipped me $700.

Absolutely stole $400+ from me. Visited them in September 2023 because my A/C was not working properly. They informed it was just time to recharge the refrigerant and it would be around $430. I said this seemed steep and they said it would be $120 if I did nothing and just picked the car back up for their diagnostic fee, they gave a big pitch about why it cost so much for this type of refrigerant and their work includes a warranty and yada yada. I said fine go ahead. At which point I looked up Autozone's cost for a can of the refrigerant with a gauge and it was $150. So I called them to tell them not to do the work, I would just do it myself. A full 8 minutes had passed and they said "sorry, he's already finished and parking it now." $430 for 8 minutes of work must be nice especially when they don't stand behind it at all. Fast forward to the end of February, it finally had a day warm enough for me to turn my a/c on again and now it's doing the same thing it was when I brought it in. Called them up and they said yes I'm still in the warranty. Take the car in. They determine there is indeed a leak in the valve and argued with me for having the car for a few months since the last time, I informed them that the months between September and February are known as winter and I hadn't been using the A/C. They agreed to honor their service warranty and fix the leak but asked me to pay for the lost refrigerant which is magically now only $108 lol. I was about to resign and agree when Kyle kept on about how the leak wasn't present in September, I told him I think it could have been because that's a big coincidence, at which point he then scoffs and said FINE WE WILL JUST FIX IT THEN. When I went to pick up the car he handed me the card for another mechanic as a way to say he didn't want my business anymore, which was never ever ever in danger anyway. Now HERE I AM JUST A FEW WEEKS LATER and guess what isn't working again? So congratulations on the $430 for a job you clearly did not do. I'll find somewhere else to fix it this time. If this was the type of service I provided in my work I would be ashamed of myself. I cannot recommend against them strongly enough, they should scrape the "Honest" sign off their building and just be Negative One Auto Care because that's what you get with them.

Great work done - 1st repair shop that has ever sent me a comprehensive assessment of the vehicle with clear recommended levels of repair and photos to confirm what the mechanic saw. Glad I switched over to Honest-1.

Great consistency on the phone and ability to keep the time and price as expected on service on my vehicle. No surprises and straight forward experience meeting expectations. Didn't exceed expectations either but hard to do in this space unfortunately. I would go back to them for my future needs.

I am a widow with a 2007 Trailblazer, with 158,000 miles. I have used many mechanics over the last 17 years. I searched the internet and found Honest 1 Auto Care, their reviews seemed too good to be true. They are remarkablely fast, gave me an accurate diagnosis, found my mystery noise without me even telling them (after my last mechanic said he could here it but didn't know what it was) I thought, I will just have to live with it until it breaks. At Honest 1, I was kept updated and it was ready the next day. I was surprised because the issues were many. I was pleased with the total bill and left feeling I had been treated fairly.
